Grandstream HT502 Setup
Disable the :  Provisioning in the Grandstream HT502 GUI

Problem ::  The Grandstream HT502 does not work.  I can not access the Grandstream HT502.   The password for the Grandstream HT502 I set does not work.


Solution ::

Disable the Provisioning to prevent the Grandstream HT502 from downloading a default configuration automatically the moment the device is connected to the Internet.   Why disable Provisioning

What is Provisioning
- Provisioning is a factory configuration setup in the devices automatically downloaded from a Service Provide. 

- Provisioning is "Call Home"  the device downloads a default config automatically.
- to prevent Provisioning and prevent the factory configuration auto download from changing a configuration set by you.   Simply the instructions below is to remove a URL of the provisioning address.


*** If provisioning is not disable the moment you connect this device to the Internet all changes will revert to the Factory default.

1.)   Disable the computer from the internet :: yes turn off wifi  - disconnect the ethernet cable from the laptop or desktop.   Only temporary for 4 steps below.
2.)   Reset the device  ::  Grandstream HT502
3.)   Connect the device Grandstream HT502  "LAN PORT" with RJ45  Ethernet cable to computer (Desktop or Laptop)
4.)   (optional)  --  CMD command prompt, at DOS prompt ::   ipconfig /all   or    ipconfig /release  or  ipconfig /renew      (optional)
5. )  Within a web browser, access the Grandstream HT502   GUI -  IP address : 192.168.2.1
6.)   Logon  - after reset the default password logon  :   admin
7.)  Tab __forgot tab name__  middle __of the page___    Provisioning URL firmware / upgrade
8.)   Write down,  make a copy,  save the information
9.)    Change / Remove  -  Set Firmware Upgrade and Provisioning to HTTP -  Set Config Server Path to:     Removed the URL address  -  Blank URL / Leave empty URL
10.)   Save and DONE
11.)   If you are still having issues -  You did something wrong here.  Do it again start #1

QUICK STEP ABOVE  ::  Access the GUI,  store info URL and remove BLANK URL, save setting,  DONE,  setting will now never change.
