Instructions for the Grandstream HT502
  • Note: At this time, there should not be an Ethernet cable connected to the WAN port of the Grandstream.
You should reset the device to the default factory configuration. To reset the device to the default factory configuration:

Press and hold the reset button located on the back of the HT 502.

Now, connect an Ethernet cable from the computer to the LAN port on the Grandstream and power on the device.

Open up a web browser and navigate to http://192.168.2.1 and log into the device.


Enter your password for the device. If you reset your device to factory defaults, the password is 123.

Click on Advanced Settings and enter the admin password. If you reset your device to factory defaults, the password is admin.

Set Firmware Upgrade and Provisioning to HTTP.
Set Config Server Path to:     Blank / Leave empty

Set Config File Prefix to:

HT502Prov.php?hwid=

Set " Allow DHCP Option 66 to override server " To No.

Click Update at the bottom of the page and then click Reboot on the next page.

Once the device has rebooted:

Power off the Grandstream device.

Connect an Ethernet cable from your modem to the WAN port of the Grandstream.

Power on the Grandstream.

If you are unable to place a call after 15 minutes, please contact our support department for additional assistance.
